Help · QR code and signs

Does the QR code change?

No: the QR code and the event link stay the same for as long as the event exists, so anything you print stays valid. They survive an upgrade from free to paid, a name change, a new cover photo and a new PIN.

The code encodes the event link, and the link is built from the event code, which never changes. Upgrading the same event keeps the code, which is why hosts can start free, see the gallery filling up and upgrade mid-party without reprinting a thing.

What does end is the event itself: a free event is deleted 14 days after it was created, a paid one 12 months after the upgrade, and the code then no longer opens a gallery. So if the signs are printed early, create a paid event, or create the free event in the week of the party.

Codes printed under our old name, GuestCam.io, also still work: the old address redirects to the same event.

What it costs

  • Free: 20 photos per guest, kept 14 days from when you create the event
  • Paid: $19.99 (£15.99 in the UK) per event for unlimited photos and videos per guest, kept up to 12 months
  • One-time payment. No subscription and no fee per guest.

Make a test event and scan it yourself

It takes a minute and costs nothing. Create one, scan the code with your own phone, upload a test photo, and you will know exactly what your guests will see. Create the real one close to the day: the storage window starts when the event is made.
