What free covers at an anniversary, and where it stops
Almost nobody hires a photographer for a fortieth or a fiftieth. The photographs of the afternoon are whatever three or four generations of guests happened to take: the couple dancing to a song from 1974, four generations squeezed onto one sofa, a brother telling a story everybody has heard before and still laughs at. Most of it lives on phones and stays there.
Free is enough to fix that. Print the QR code for the tables, guests upload from the phone during the afternoon, everyone with the code can see the gallery filling up, and you take the whole thing away afterwards from your private host page. Up to 20 photos each, no cap on guests, no payment details, and the bulk download included.
Two things it does not cover. Video is on the paid plan, and at a milestone anniversary the speeches are usually the part people most regret not having. And a free gallery is deleted with its photos after 14 days — which is the wrong shape for an event whose photographs relatives keep asking for months later. $19.99 (£15.99 in the UK) once buys unlimited photos and videos per guest, 12 months of storage and the guest book, and after a golden anniversary that is usually the version families wish they had chosen.
