Yes: the upload page accepts the HEIC and HEIF files iPhones produce as well as JPEG, PNG, WebP and AVIF, so guests do not have to change a camera setting or convert anything.
The file is stored exactly as the phone sends it, with no re-encoding and no resizing of the original, so what you download later is the full-resolution photo from the guest's camera roll. The phone makes a small thumbnail for the gallery alongside it, which is why the gallery stays quick on a slow connection.
Videos filmed on an iPhone are MOV files, which the paid plan accepts up to 200 MB each.
Android phones work the same way: the browser's file picker opens the gallery, the guest selects the photos, and the originals go up. Nothing is installed on either kind of phone.
