How do I delete my event?

Every event deletes itself: the day after it expires, the photos, videos, guest-book entries and the ZIP are removed for good, so the usual answer is to download what you want and let the date come.

A free event expires 14 days after it was created, a paid one 12 months after the upgrade; the date is shown in the dashboard. Until then you can empty the gallery yourself: as the host, tap Select on the event page, tap the photos you want gone, and delete. There is no select-all for the host, on purpose, so a large gallery takes a few rounds; what you delete is gone for every guest at once and cannot be undone.

If you need the whole event gone earlier, the code included, write to support@eventphoto.io from the address the event was created with, quoting the event code, and we delete it for you. The host dashboard has no delete button for a free or paid event.

Planners with event credits do have one: in the Pro dashboard, open the event, choose Delete event and type the event code to confirm. The credit comes back to the workspace only if nothing was ever added to the event, no upload, no message and no download; an event that was used and then emptied keeps its credit spent. A client the event was handed to cannot delete it.

What it costs

  • Free: 20 photos per guest, kept 14 days from when you create the event
  • Paid: $19.99 (£15.99 in the UK) per event for unlimited photos and videos per guest, kept up to 12 months
  • One-time payment. No subscription and no fee per guest.

Make a test event and scan it yourself

It takes a minute and costs nothing. Create one, scan the code with your own phone, upload a test photo, and you will know exactly what your guests will see. Create the real one close to the day: the storage window starts when the event is made.
