Can I add the photo upload link to my Zola, The Knot or Joy wedding website?

Yes: copy the event link from your host page and add it to your wedding website as a link or button, and guests tap it to upload from the phone’s browser. Link to it rather than embedding it in the page: inside another site’s frame the PIN step may not work.

On the host page, Copy link gives the event’s address, which ends in the 6-character event code, and QR code, Download as image, saves the code as a PNG you can put on the website too, for guests who open it on a computer. Then, in your website builder, add a short section or page with a line such as “Share your photos with us” and use the event link as the link’s address. Every builder works a little differently, so preview the page on your phone and tap the link once before you send the website out.

Two things to check. Storage counts from the day you create the event, so a free event added to a website months ahead will be deleted before the wedding: upgrade before the link goes up, which gives 12 months, or add the link in the week of the wedding. And keep the PIN on: a wedding website is easier to find than a table card, so give the PIN in the invitation or on the day, not on the website.

What it costs

  • Free: 20 photos per guest, kept 14 days from when you create the event
  • Paid: $19.99 (£15.99 in the UK) per event for unlimited photos and videos per guest, kept up to 12 months
  • One-time payment. No subscription and no fee per guest.

Make a test event and scan it yourself

It takes a minute and costs nothing. Create one, scan the code with your own phone, upload a test photo, and you will know exactly what your guests will see. Create the real one close to the day: the storage window starts when the event is made.
