Help · Guests and uploading

What happens when a guest reaches the upload limit?

On a free event a guest can add up to 20 photos; after that the page tells them the limit is reached, keeps the upload button in place and offers to upgrade the event, which either the host or the guest can pay for.

If a guest selects more files than they have left, the page says so before uploading and lets them choose: upload the first ones that fit, remove some from the selection, or upgrade. Nothing is uploaded silently and nothing is lost on the phone.

The upgrade is $19.99 (£15.99 in the UK) once for the whole event, not per guest: the moment it is paid, every guest can upload unlimited photos and videos, the storage window becomes 12 months from the upgrade, and the photos already in the gallery stay. The QR code does not change.

The limit counts per guest, by the browser they upload from, and there is no limit on how many guests join. So the free plan still collects a lot at a big party; it is the guest who photographs everything who runs into the limit first.

Make a test event and scan it yourself

It takes a minute and costs nothing. Create one, scan the code with your own phone, upload a test photo, and you will know exactly what your guests will see. Create the real one close to the day: the storage window starts when the event is made.
